What is the Kijani Kenya Trust?

Kijani Kenya Trust is a UK-based registered charity that brings internationally acclaimed music and cultural events to Kenya. Their aims are to educate and to raise funds to support conservation and health projects in Kenya.

Building a better future

My approach to this project was to match the charity’s own ideals. Their work is about building a better future for Kenya and I wanted their site to do all that it could to support that.

Understanding their philosophy and needs was at the heart of the project.

The website needed more impact. By bringing the overall look up to date and introducing strong design elements, their message now really stands out and has more emotional impact – crucial factors for this kind of site.

Requirements

  • Modernising the whole site
  • Adding up-to-date functionality
  • Increasing the site’s effectiveness in raising awareness
  • Providing a mechanism for quickly and easily updating content
  • Creating a new section to promote the Kijani Kenya Music Festival
