Social Showcase – New Design

What is Social Showcase?

Social Showcase is a site designed to show the very best in profile design. With the rapid growth of Social Networking (e.g. MySpace and Virb) there is a boom in custom profile design. This is where Social Showcase comes in.

Getting the showcase on the road

An entirely new website was needed. There were no previous iterations so it meant constructing a brand new site from the ground up – function, layout, look and even the logo.

Modern looks and sleek functionality were key. A simple and bold design best fitted the aim of the site in terms of image and in making the featured portfolio designs stand out. Achieving this meant focusing on usability.

Clarity is important with this kind of site. Content areas, navigation and functional areas were clearly defined, and background images kept to a minimum to give each portfolio enough room for easy viewing. Less is more and less requires careful handling to get it right.
